Prize money ($1600 pot) will be awarded in the 10 km event ONLY to the top three men and top three women finishers.
Atmosphere
This is a classic Banff race with a complete mix of runners. Several top Calgary runners usually show up to compete with locals and visitors alike. You'll see everything from sub 32 minute finishes to over an hour and a quarter. Great atmosphere and a great way to spend Fathers Day morning.

Overview
The Banff Citizen's Race is an excellent Banff road/paved trail race.
After missing 2006, the race returned for 2007 under the organization of the Banff Ski Runners (cross country ski club) with the profits from the race going towards their fundraising efforts.
As of April 2008, it would appear that the Banff Skirunners do not plan to organize the race this year and it would seem to be heading for the deadpool.
