Overview
The Rundle Riverside trail is Fun!! It's a great mountain biking trail and so it should be no surprise that it makes for a really fun trail run. Lots of roots and rocks , avalanche chutes, river views and beautiful forest. You can run it as a point to point if you arrange a shuttle or simply as an out & back. If you're looking for a longer run you can combine it with the Spray/Goat Creek trails and make a ~45km run.
Trailhead
Start from the Bow Falls Parking Lot although the official trailhead is several kms along the golf course road.
Car: Technically the trailhead is several kilometers along the golf course road but I would suggest that you park at the Bow Falls parking lot and run through the golf course (there are lots of trail options right next to the road)
Run: Run across the bridge and keep close to the river as you work your way towards the Bow Falls.

Safety
The usual precautions apply as far as wildlife goes. Can be relatively busy with mountain bikers so keep your eyes open.
Tips
You can use this trail as a connector to several other trails.
If you want to run it as an out & back you may want to turn around as soon as you hit the Canmore Nordic Centre as the forest section is the real fun part.
If running in combination with the Spray/Goat you'll probably want to run out on the Spray/Goat and back on the Riverside to avoid the long grunt up the hill from the Nordic Centre to the Goat Creek parking lot.
